EP014 - From a Carer to Facing Bombs in Iraq: Angela's Story of Resilience
Angela's life has been shaped by extraordinary resilience and a deep commitment to caregiving. Her strength was forged early, as she cared for her older brother and supported her family. She carried this determination into her career, rising from a clerical position to railway management, then volunteering in Iraq to rebuild infrastructure after the war. Despite the danger, she persevered for two years.
Angela's personal journey was filled with both love and hardship. She married her husband in 2004, but their life was forever changed when he contracted a paralyzing infection while working abroad. Angela became his primary caregiver, a role that demanded immense physical and emotional strength. She remained steadfast by his side until his passing. Now, Angela is navigating her own healing from PTSD while continuing to inspire others with her unwavering spirit.
